Service Terms & Warranty

These Service Terms apply to services performed by GoodHearth Service (“GoodHearth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By approving or authorizing service, the customer agrees to the applicable terms below.

Service Warranty

Parts supplied and installed by GoodHearth Service are warranted for 120 days from the date of completed service, including labor for 35 days, unless otherwise stated in writing.

During the 35-day labor warranty period, covered warranty work related to the original repair includes applicable labor. After 35 days, an eligible defective part remains covered through the 120-day parts warranty, but labor, diagnostic, service-call, installation, and related charges may apply.

Warranty coverage is limited to the specific repair performed and parts supplied and installed by GoodHearth Service. It does not constitute a warranty on the appliance as a whole.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Failures unrelated to the original repair;
  • Pre-existing or subsequently developing problems with other components;
  • Misuse, abuse, improper operation, or abnormal operating conditions;
  • External electrical, plumbing, drainage, ventilation, or other conditions outside the appliance;
  • Normal wear and deterioration;
  • Consumables, including refrigerant, filters, and fuses;
  • Parts or materials supplied by the customer or another party; or
  • Damage or failure caused by conditions outside GoodHearth Service’s control.

Warranty Claims & Remedies

If a problem believed to be related to our service occurs during the warranty period, the customer must contact GoodHearth Service and provide us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the issue. If continued operation could cause damage or create a safety concern, the customer must discontinue use of the appliance.

The appliance, repaired component, and relevant parts must be preserved in their existing condition until the claim is resolved. Warranty is void if the repaired unit or component is interfered with in any way by anyone other than GoodHearth Service before the claim is resolved.

GoodHearth Service is not responsible for repairs, replacement appliances, or other costs independently incurred without our prior authorization, except as required by law.

A warranty claim is considered resolved when GoodHearth Service has completed the applicable warranty remedy or has determined and communicated that the condition is not covered by warranty.

Pre-Existing & Concealed Conditions

Appliances may contain worn, corroded, brittle, seized, deteriorated, previously damaged, improperly installed, or otherwise compromised components that are not reasonably apparent before service begins.

GoodHearth Service is not responsible for failure or damage resulting from such pre-existing or concealed conditions encountered during reasonable diagnosis, repair, installation, movement, or removal of an appliance, except to the extent caused by our negligence or as otherwise required by law.

Discovery of one defective component does not guarantee that other components are functioning properly or will not subsequently fail.

Appliance Movement & Work Area

Some services require an appliance to be moved, tilted, opened, disassembled, or removed from its installed position. Customers should disclose known problems with flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, electrical connections, hoses, valves, or other surrounding property before work begins.

Customers are responsible for removing valuables, fragile items, food, and other property from the appliance or immediate work area when reasonably necessary for service.

Food & Other Property Loss

GoodHearth Service is not responsible for food spoilage or other consequential or incidental losses resulting from appliance failure, loss of heating or cooling, parts availability or shipping delays, pre-existing conditions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except as otherwise required by law.

Customers should take appropriate steps to protect food and other temperature-sensitive property whenever an appliance is malfunctioning.

Diagnosis & Repair

A diagnosis represents GoodHearth Service’s professional assessment based on the appliance’s condition, symptoms, available information, and testing performed at the time of service. Appliances can have multiple or intermittent failures, and correcting one diagnosed problem does not guarantee that another condition will not subsequently become apparent.

Authorization of a repair does not constitute a guarantee that no other repair will ever be required.

Customer-Supplied Parts

GoodHearth Service does not provide a warranty on customer-supplied parts. When we agree to install a customer-supplied part, the customer assumes responsibility for the part’s compatibility, quality, condition, and warranty unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any labor warranty applicable to installation of a customer-supplied part will be stated on the invoice or service record.

Parts Orders, Deposits & Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable, except where required by law or when an ordered part is delayed more than 14 days beyond its estimated arrival date.

Estimated arrival dates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates and may be affected by manufacturers, distributors, carriers, availability, weather, or other circumstances outside GoodHearth Service’s control.

If a qualifying delay exceeds 14 days beyond the estimated arrival date, the customer may cancel the pending repair and request return of the applicable deposit.

Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived.

Third-Party Warranties & Referrals

GoodHearth Service does not assume warranties, guarantees, representations, promises, or obligations made by appliance manufacturers, retailers, parts manufacturers or suppliers, home-warranty companies, contractors, referral services, or other third parties unless expressly accepted by GoodHearth Service in writing.

Any manufacturer or supplier warranty applicable to a part is subject to that third party’s own terms and procedures.

Authorization & Acceptance

By approving an estimate, authorizing service, paying a deposit, authorizing a parts order, or permitting GoodHearth Service to perform work, the customer acknowledges and accepts the applicable service terms.

Terms specifically stated on an estimate, work order, or invoice may supplement these terms. If a specific written term provided by GoodHearth Service for a particular job differs from a general term on this page, the specific written term applicable to that job controls, to the extent permitted by law.

These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
